Very accommodating. A 10am departure is a little early after a wedding so we were kindly extended a later checkout by one hour (which helped).

We loved everything about the property. Everyone wanted to stay another day. There is nothing I would change. It was absolutely perfect for our large family.

Stayed with you two years in a row now on vacation and can't wait to come back beautiful house and fantastic location for the beach, small towns like Chesterton

This was a beautifully located, delightful property, on the shore of one of Michigans, most beautiful lakes. Everything was taken care of to assure our thorough enjoyment of our vacation. Bravo to Northstar properties.

We enjoyed our stay very much, found that the way the house was described was exactly as we experienced it. It fit our family of 12 well and we loved the walkable distance to the beach front.

We had a wonderful experience with Monica. She was very helpful and gave us some great suggestions for places to eat, things to do and just making sure we were settled in. She followed up afterwards to check on how are stay went and welcomed us to visit again.

Dune Blast was aesthetically pleasing offering a warm comfy atmosphere inside and a cozy and thoughtful outdoor entertaining area with screened-in porch, hot tub, volley & bocce ball court. We would love to come back in warmer weather and use the bicycles to ride to the beach and enjoy time in the sun. Thank you.

Monica was great!

The property was so much fun! We loved the garage/playroom. Wish it hadnt rained our second day so we couldve enjoyed the hot tub more. Perhaps a canopy would be great above the hot tub.

We had a great time at the Leland Lodge. It was very comfortable for our group of ten. Everyone had plenty of space to eat, sleep, play and relax. The huge bathtubs and fancy showers were loved by all. We also loved how easy of a walk it was to get into town for shopping and restaurants. We had a great experience!

Monica was a huge help and answered any questions or problems we might have very quickly. She was a pleasure to work with.

We had a great stay at the Leland Lodge! The home was extremely clean when we checked in, which was just shortly after the allowed arrival time. We were able to walk to the beach and several restaurants. Other attractions (golf, wineries, farmers market, and the casino) were a very short drive away. The home was perfect for our dogs, too, with access to the fenced in yard from the main level and also from the basement.

I can't recommend Northstar Properties enough!! They truly go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of for the duration of their stay. Monica is so sweet and professional, and made it incredibly easy for us to venture out of the city for a couple weeks in nature!

We had such a great month at Tryon - I felt relaxed for the first time since the pandemic began. My son loved all the things to do around the farm.

The people at North Star Properties were exceptional to work with. They made sure everything was in order prior to arrival, and did a quick check-in during our stay to see if we needed anything.

The property was awesome. Clean and cozy. Just a short walk to Lake Michigan. Plenty of necessary items for at-home meals (dishes, pans, cutlery, etc). Patio furniture. Just perfect!

This place has a great location, minutes walk from the beach, not far from downtown restaurants, and was just what we were looking for for a long weekend stay. It was super clean, had all the kitchen amenities of home for cooking, and is in a quiet neighborhood. Monica was very responsive and helpful through the whole stay.

Terrific location. A very short walk to the beach. Great kitchen for cooking/upgraded appliances. Loved spending time on the front deck!

It really is a great house! Great for big groups, close to the beach, and great outside spaces. This was very last minute to relax for a couple of days(which we did) but next time we will invite people to come with us!

This was a perfect house for our group. The beach is so close and an easy walk away. The house had all the amenities we could ask for and was beautifully styled. We loved our time here!

We had a great experience at this home. Monica was very responsive and even extended our check-our time. The house was very clean and just as described. Cornhole in the pole-barn was fun and the hot tub was a great night-caper.

Our large family was looking for a last minute vacation spot and this Airbnb was a godsend! Getting there was super easy, as was checking in with the lockbox. We were pretty psyched that everything really was brand spanking new! The set up was comfy and clearly designed for guests to gather and relax. We spent each day at Kemil Beach (an easy 10 min drive), which had a parking lot, was clean, and big enough that you could walk for a bit and find your own physically distanced patch of sand and water. Our family made good use of the grill as well as that hot tub! It was raining a lot during our stay, but we still managed to keep some of the firewood provided dry in order to have a little bonfire and make smores. We brought our own board games, but it was nice that there were a couple games provided. Some quick recommendations: Dunes Mart just up the street has yummy soft serve ice cream! If you get the prepackaged cups in the back freezer, theyll still be frozen when you get to the beach and are ready to enjoy your treat by the water. Also, I got my (fancy) coffee fix at a spot 15 min away called Fluid Coffeebar. Something to note in case you dont catch it in the description: there is only one shower in the house. Were a big family but were used to sharing spaces, so it worked for us. This was such a special trip for our family. Its so hard to get everyone together in one place at the same time, so we were really grateful to be able to gather with our loved ones and create memories. We will definitely be back the next time our family can all get together! Thank you Monica!

Monica quite literally made our beach weekend happen. She was constantly troubleshooting as we navigated covid-19 and even had some personal touches ready upon arrival. She was very communicative and amazing to work with.

Very homey place, comfortable, great location, lots of space and even a forest behind the house to stroll out into. Cherry Beach is not even a mile away and is a Beautiful beach. I only interacted with Monica on the phone about billing, but it was short and sweet and she was professional and helpful.

Perfect location, just down the street from a nature center. I would say the only thing that detracted from the property was that it was slightly overgrown. Like the bush that grows by the front door could be trimmed back quite a bit so there's more than one person-width of space on the front steps. Also, just the plantings immediately around/surrounding the house were all pretty overgrown, which, aside from the front porch wasn't an issue, but curb appeal-wise, wasn't attractive. We loved it regardless. We would stay there again in a heartbeat, and probably will the next time we come up to visit family.

Monica was great and was always available. She made sure we knew everything we needed to know and we felt comfortable that if any issues came up she would take care of them. Thankfully that wasn't necessary but it was nice to know there was someone to reach if needed.

The Harbert House was very clean and modern and the area was beautiful. The outdoor space was great and we spent the majority of our time at the beach or out on the decks. The hot tub was awesome! We brought our dog and didn't have any issues. We read the review about the swamp and were a bit worried but the area around the property was dry while we were there. But i would say that if you bring a dog the beach is probably a better place to let them roam as we read warnings about Michigan and the risk of ticks. This area very wooded and the walk to the beach was on a lovely road surrounded by trees. We really felt like we were away from it all. However, dog owners should be sure to check for ticks if they let their dogs roam. overall a great place!

The house is in a great location - walking distance to the beach and short commute times to neat places like Journeyman or Greenbush. The house itself is really big. Great for big groups of people. Alot of options like games, hot tub etc.

The house was spacious, well maintained and featured great amenities. The location near the beach meant we could enjoy bonfires by the lake. The hot tub was great to relax in at the end of the night. Overall it worked out perfectly for our vacation.

The Harbert House is a great escape that relatively close to Chicago (90 minutes), and close to the SW Michigan attractions we love to visit (St. Joe, Sawyer, Three Oaks, New Buffalo) - as well as Warren Dunes, which we love. The place is well kept and is nicely cared for with new paint, kitchen countertops, hardwood flooring and a perfect deck and hot tub. It's tucked into the woods and wetlands, so it's relatively private. The beach is pristine.

The house has everything-it is modern with a fantastic layout for a single family, or many families. Easy too for families with small children or babies as there is a full bedroom within (adjacent to) the master bedroom. Good Internet for extended trips that require attention to the office. The outdoor space is a huge bonus, including the hot tub. We frequently have dinner on the patio. The area is gorgeous and within a community where there are not busy streets. Plus, it's a 6 minute walk to the beach and the beach is fantastic-easy swimming and playing. Also available for fires in the evening-great for s'more gatherings! If it rains, there's a video game table for the kids (e.g. Centipede, etc.) and a host of board games. Harbert House is a 5-10 minute drive from Sawyer and New Buffalo where there is shopping and great restaurants.

Enjoyed my stay at the Heidelbrook. My family and I were able to spend time with our family in Michigan and was very enjoyable with this property.

We enjoyed the area and the house so much, we were already planning what week we want to come back next year. I wouldn't even bother looking around at other properties. The Breakaway was PERFECT. It's hard to find a comfortable home to fit 10 without it feeling like a college dorm. Here, the house just feels like home, and the open floor plan gives everyone the opportunity to either be together, or go off on our separate ways.

Monica was amazing throughout the entirery of our stay (including pre and post trip). She offered us a great deal at a great place, and we couldn't have been happier with our vacation. I highly recommend going through her, as you will surely have a great experience.

Just a very heartfelt thanks for everything. The wife,the children and I haven't taken a vacation in about 12 years and we had never been to Michigan before.
