13411 Red Arrow Highway, is located on the south end of Harbert Community Park, just North of the Township Offices, the Dog Park can be accessed from the south end of the Harbert Community Park parking area. The Dog Park is approximately one acre of fenced area where registered dogs are allowed to run free under their owner’s supervision. A portion of the Dog Park is fenced off to allow small dogs to run separately from the larger ones. A water faucet is provided for watering your dog. Both areas are accessed through a dual gate ‘air-lock’ entry that provides space for the owners to leash and unleash their dogs as they enter and leave the Dog Park. Park Rules Dogs must be registered prior to use, or at the time of use. Please fill out a permit application for each dog. They may be left in the box provided. There is no charge for registering. Dogs must be licensed and have up-to-date Rabies vaccinations. All dogs must be under owners control at all times. Please do not ever leave your pet unattended Only those supervising or helping supervise a pet are permitted in the Dog Park. Anyone under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Aggressive dogs or dogs in heat are not allowed in the park. Do not allow your dog to harass humans, other pets, or wildlife. Please clean up after your dog – seal waste in a bag before disposing in dog waste container. Leash your dog before leaving the fenced area. The future of this Dog Park depends on the dog owners behaving responsibly and obeying these rules. The Harbert Community Dog Park was funded by the Harbert Business Association, the Pokagon Fund, and the Chikaming Township Park Board.
